The LAPIS project has produced evidence-based policy recommendations to address the recruitment and retention crisis in the adult social care sector. The project has identified several issues that impact the quality of care, including workforce shortages, lack of training opportunities, and irrelevance of training to job roles. The recommendations cover six interlinked areas of concern: sector fragmentation; workforce development, public awareness, brand recognition, innovation, and national and common frameworks.
